Mango Hill has grown quickly. Its population more than tripled between the 2011 and 2021 censuses, and much of the suburb consists of recently built homes and townhouses. Most arrive with a standard electrical fit-out, and the jobs that follow are about making the house work for the household living in it.

That usually means ceiling fans in living areas and alfresco spaces, extra power points where the builder’s layout falls short, upgraded lighting, and dedicated circuits for air conditioning and EV chargers. Pool pump wiring and outdoor lighting are also common additions. Doing several of these in one visit reduces disruption and lets the switchboard be checked once for all of them.

What to Expect With Every Job

On Electrical books a time frame for the day, arrives within it, and keeps customers updated along the way. Every job includes:

  • A look at the property before any quote is written
  • Wiring done to AS/NZS 3000
  • Compliance certificates wherever Queensland law calls for them
  • A one-year workmanship warranty, with manufacturer warranties on the products used
  • The site left clean and tidy at the finish

Quotes are based on the job as it actually is, assessed in person at the property, so the figure reflects the real scope of work.

Why Mango Hill Households Choose On Electrical

On Electrical has nearly 20 years in the trade, with work that covers new builds and townhouses, renovations and full rewires, and lighting and data cabling for small offices and restaurants. That range means a first-home fan install gets the same attention to detail as a larger renovation.

On Electrical also services North Lakes, Rothwell, Kallangur, Petrie, and Griffin, as well as the Redcliffe Peninsula.

Bjorn did a great job installing a ceiling fan for us. Although a relatively easy job he made sure everything was perfect. Had great communication throughout, from our initial inquiry to finished job. Highly recommend and will use Bjorn again in the future. Thanks mate!

Been working with Bjorn for a couple of years now on little projects and he has always been so reliable. Now we are doing a bigger reno, can't think of anyone I'd rather have do our electrical work.

Questions Mango Hill Residents Ask

Is electrical work commonly needed after moving into a new-build home?

Often. Handover fit-outs cover the basics, so owners often add ceiling fans, extra power points, outdoor lighting, and air-conditioning circuits once they’ve settled in.

Does a split system need anything done at the switchboard?

A split system needs its own circuit, which means the board must have a spare way and enough capacity. Installs are carried out under a restricted refrigeration licence alongside the electrical contractor licence.

Can alfresco and pool pump wiring be done in the same visit?

Yes, and grouping them usually makes sense. We can scope ceiling fans, outdoor lighting, and pool pump wiring together, so we assess the board once, and the quote covers the full job.

Can extra data points be added to a house that’s already built?

Yes. We can add additional data outlets and cable them back to a central rack, if the home needs one, after the build is complete.

What does it mean when a power point or a whole circuit stops working?

It’s usually a tripped breaker, a loose connection or a faulty outlet. Testing the circuit shows where the supply is dropping out, so repairs go straight to the cause. A circuit that keeps failing is best addressed by an emergency electrician.
